UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY


BRASTER S.A. has an innovative, proprietary technology for producing mixtures of liquid crystals and a Continuous Liquid Crystal Film (CLCF) technology for applying liquid-crystal emulsion on the film. Each of these solutions is protected by international patents.

LIQUID CRYSTALS

Liquid crystals are chemical compounds that exhibit the properties of liquids and those of crystalline solids.

They are widely used in the manufacture of displays, liquid-crystal displays (LCD), digital gauges and temperature detectors.


Research on liquid crystals conducted by the scientific team of BRASTER S.A. led to the application of these compounds in recording and imaging thermal changes that occur in the human body due to the formation of malignant tumors.

This solution is called the liquid-crystal contact thermography.

CONTACT THERMOGRAPHY


This is a method for functional imaging of organ function. The basis for the contact thermography is the ‘dermothermal effect’ related to higher metabolism rate around focal neoplastic lesion. This phenomenon can occur on breast surface as localized temperature anomalies.

Cancer cells show a higher metabolism rate than other cells and build a dense network of capillary vessels. Thus, areas of increased temperature are formed. They can be recorded on the surface of the examined breast as the thermal marker of cancer. The BRASTER device can record them at an early stage as areas of a different color.
