Temperature indicator

Temperature indicator is an easy to use and quick device informing about elevated body temperature for self-use.

Elevated temperature is one of the main symptoms of a viral infection (e.g. COVID-19).

The indicator is a screening device for monitoring the temperature of the forehead skin. If the indicator shows an elevated temperature, measure your body temperature with a medical thermometer to confirm the possible fever.

Application

The indicator is intended for all persons exposed to an increased risk of infection or viral infection, and in particular for:

medical staff;

patients in nursing homes, hospitals and medical centers;

patients permanently or temporarily immobilized in homes, hospices, etc.;

people in quarantine;

employees in offices, factories, security guards etc.;

staff of services such as police, army, customs, border guards and fire brigade.

How does the temperature indicator work?

The indicator is made of a self-adhesive thermosensitive foil reacting by changing the color to an elevated body temperature. It has two fields: A and B.

In the case of a non-elevated body temperature, both fields have the same color – black.

A change in the color of field A signals an increase in body temperature (the color may vary depending on the current body temperature).

The temperature can be measured from a distance, therefore the observer can avoid direct contact with the monitored person. The indicator status can also be read by a monitored person (e.g. using a mirror, car mirror, smartphone ­­– selfie option).

Important information

• For epidemiological reasons, the indicator may only be used by one person.

• The indicator can be used repeatedly. When the indicator loses its adhesion, use the adhesive foil strips attached in a separate bag. The strip is stuck perpendicularly on the part of the indicator adjacent to the forehead so that it forms an isosceles cross with the indicator.

• The indicator is intended for use at room temperature. Make sure that during the measurement you do not stay in a place of direct operation of air vents, air conditioning etc. nor in direct sunlight.

• To obtain accurate measurement use the indicator at least 30 minutes after physical exertion.

• The hypoallergenic adhesive layer has been approved for skin contact.

• Indicator dimensions: 1 cm x 2.5 cm.
