We are constantly developing and improving our Braster in order to make breast examination even more comfortable for you.

We have prepared a software update for you which will make the examination with Braster even faster and more efficient. You should perform this update using your computer before you do another examination. It will only take a few minutes. Follow the instructions below.

STEP 1

Prepare the Braster device and the USB cable included in the package and turn on the computer. Check what operating system you have on your computer, Windows or macOS (Mac), and click one of the two "Download the update" buttons below.
NOTE: Remember that you can only update the Braster device using a computer. You cannot do this using your phone or tablet.

STEP 2

After downloading the update file, open it (you will recognize this file by the icon with the Braster logo) and then agree to run the application.
NOTE: When starting the application some messages may be displayed requesting your consent for introducing changes or opening the application. Consent to these.

STEP 3

During the installation, you will be asked to perform several actions. To update Braster, follow the instructions displayed on the subsequent screens of the application:

• Connect your Braster to your computer with the USB cable that you use to charge the device and click “Next >”.

• Press and hold the round ON/OFF button until a message appears informing you that you can release the button.

NOTE: During this stage, a window may appear on the desktop on some Windows computers asking, “Would you like to install this device software?” Click the “Install” button and simultaneously keep the ON/OFF button on Braster pressed with your other hand.

• When the message RELEASE THE ON/OFF BUTTON appears, do it and wait until the update process is completed.

STEP 4

Great! You have updated your Braster. Now you can disconnect the device from your computer and perform another examination as usual.

1. Why do I have to update my Braster?
We are asking you to update your Braster because we are constantly improving the system to make it work as well as possible. This update will improve the wireless connection between the device and the smartphone so that you can perform the examination even faster and more efficiently.

2. What happens if I do not update my Braster?
The update is necessary for further examinations with Braster. It is important to us that you can use the latest version of the software, which will make monthly examinations more comfortable for you. Updating Braster and the mobile app is a normal process that will improve the operation of our In-home Breast Examination System – you do not have to worry about it.

3. On which computer operating systems can I update my Braster?

The application is compatible with the following operating systems:

1) Windows 7

2) Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

3) Windows 10

4) macOS

The application is NOT compatible with the following operating systems:

1) Windows XP

2) Windows Vista

3) Linux

4. What should I do if, during the update, I receive a message asking me to install the driver?
This message may appear if your computer has Windows 7 installed. In this case, you should click the “Install” button and simultaneously keep the ON/OFF button on the Braster pressed with your other hand. Your Braster will be successfully updated if you patiently keep the ON/OFF button pressed throughout the whole update process. This should take about 30 seconds, but sometimes it takes a little longer. The application will notify you if you release the button too early. Don’t worry! In this case, click the “Try again” button and this time hold the ON/OFF button patiently until the release message appears.

5. What should I do when my antivirus software prevents the update application from starting?
The Braster update application was created by a team of qualified engineers and provided with a so-called Software Developer Certificate. This certificate guarantees that the application comes from a reliable source. However, despite having an appropriate certificate some antivirus systems (e.g., Avast) sometimes carry out a thorough check of the application, which extends the time it takes to update your Braster by several seconds.
